Meet Principal Nelson
There are many things that make Northpoint a special place. From the families that make up our community, to the staff that pour so much into making sure each child has a great experience, we all work together to make Northpoint the best five years in a student's life!

Favorite school lunch: Well, I haven't eaten a school lunch since 3rd grade. My mom is such a wonderful cook that I requested her meals daily! BUT the one meal that always tempts me is Hot Dogs and Baked Beans.

Favorite school tradition or school activity: There are so many great traditions such as the family picnic, school carnival, Northpoint's Got Talent, Power Hour, staff vs. students basketball, track and field day, etc. But, my favorite "activity" of the day is always Morning Meeting. To see/hear students greeting each other, the morning message, students sharing and wrapping it up with an activity - what a great way for students and staff to start their day each day.

Favorite part of your school day: Probably to no surprise to a lot of people, my favorite part of the day is greeting the students in the morning. Whether it's with a fist bump, a laugh or something else, getting the students to smile on their way into school and starting their day off on a positive note is my goal.

What was your favorite subject in school? Why? My favorite subject was always math. I enjoyed the fact that there was a right and wrong answer, it wasn't open to interpretation and there could be multiple ways to get to that final answer.

Favorite summer hobby: All types of yard work!
